Thoughts after speaking with son (s) about college.
I'm left with the uncomfortable thought that college has gotten worse since I graduated. Perhaps not at the simple matter of providing technical knowledge, although I have serious reservations about that. But about the far more challenging and important work of developing people who can move within society, contribute to society, engage society, and grow as people rather than highly trained organic machines.
